Survivors include her brother Leslie Teachey and wife Lou Gray; two sons Hal Williams and wife Tammy, and Chip Williams and wife Judy; her grandchildren Tonya Todd, C.J. Smith, Tyler Williams, and Connor Williams; great-grandchildren Brendan Stanton, and Braxton Todd; and numerous nieces and nephews.
“Ms. Inez”, as she was affectionately known, was retired from the Duplin County School System, where she happily fed many students of East Duplin High School. She was a lifelong follower of the Baptist faith, commencing her journey with Jesus, initially at Island Creek Baptist Church and, later at Sharon Baptist Church. Ms. Inez was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family, to whom she was fiercely loyal. Her pound cake was awesome! She enjoyed traveling with her husband and was active in the Destroyer Escort Sailors Association and Woodmen of the World, where she served as an officer.
Funeral Service Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM with visitation from 1:00-2:00 PM at Community Funeral Home Chapel, Beulaville, NC. Burial will follow at the Williams Family Cemetery in Beulaville, NC.
The family expresses their deepest gratitude to the staff of Vidant Home Health and Hospice, with much appreciation to the caregivers, Sandy Brown and Patricia Thompson-Santiago.
