Born February 25, 1949, in West Reading, Pa., he was the son of the late James George Myrick Sr. and Diane Rose (Steinmetz) Myrick.
He worked as a Lab Technician for Crompton and Knowles, Robeson Twp., Berks Co., Pa., and also helped his father with their lawn care business.
James proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during Iraq Desert Storm. He loved life, traveling and was a kind, loving person.
Surviving are two brothers, Robert A., husband of Amy Myrick, of Green Hills, Pa., Shawn L. Myrick, of Gibraltar, Pa.; and four sisters: Donna L., wife of Victor Andrew, of North Port, Fla., Marjorie L. Fackler, and companion, Warren Gift, of Sinking Spring, Pa., Jeananne M., widow of Larry Geisler, of Northport, Fla., and Sally E., wife of Roger Champagne, of North Monmouth, Maine.
He was predeceased by brother, Harold Myrick.
A visitation will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, 57 St. John's Road, Gibraltar, PA on Saturday, November 17, 2018, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., with the funeral service to follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gibraltar, Pa. Dengler Funeral Home Inc., Birdsboro, Pa., is in charge of the arrangements.
