Clara Mae Edwards, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 in a local hospital. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Gearldine Edwards Stodghill and Vivian Edwards O’Rock Sims. Survivors include two daughters, Dr. Sarah (Pastor Dr. Jessie) Broadnax and Betty Dozier; three sons, Haywood Edwards, Jr., Dr. Lloyd Edwards, and Lebron Edwards; brothers, John Ed Hurt, Robert and Nathaniel Patton; sister, Rachel Patton; grandchildren, Tonya Whaley, Syletta (Valius) Edwards, Shandrika Laster, Tremaine Edwards, Kalimba Edwards, Stone Edwards, Aarika Camp, Cecil Stodghill, Terri Jackson, and Jessica Broadnax; 9 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; very special friends, Catherine Williams, Mattie Sue Crawford, cousin/sister, Buel Walker; and many loved ones.
