Married Emma Barbara Landgraf Nov 27, 1912. Charles & Emma were the parents of Helen(Treptow), Amelia(Johnson-Evans), & Bonita(Johnson)

Marcus-Charles E. Auchstetter, 88, died Friday at the Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital, Cherokee, following a 10-week illness. Mr. Auchstetter, who was born Nov 7, 1886 at Arthur, IA was a retired farmer from Marcus.
Mr. Auchstetter moved to Marcus 57 years ago with his wife, the late Emma Landgraf Auchstetter. Mrs. Auchstetter preceded him in death on June 15, 1970.
The two were married Nov 27, 1912 in Odebolt.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Helen Treptow, Tempe, AZ, Mrs. Walter (Amelia) Evans, Cherokee, Mrs. Harold (Bonita) Johnson, Marcus, and five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Rose Kent, Los Angeles.
Rosary services will be held Sunday, Nov 10 at 7:30 and 8 p.m. at the Nelson-Mauer Funeral Home, Marcus.
Funeral services for Mr. Auchstetter will be held Monday, Nov 11 at the Holy Name Church in Marcus, and burial will be at the Holy Name Cemetery, also in Marcus.
Conducting the funeral services will be the Rev. Robert O'Reilly.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Nelson-Mauer Funeral Home.
