An Interstate 95 exit ramp that has been the scene of frequent, and sometimes deadly, crashes has been named for a tow truck driver who lost his life there. Richard Jason Randolph, 69, of West Boca, slipped and fell to his death April 12, 2017, while working to remove an overturned tractor-trailer truck from the bridge wall on the I-95 overpass in Boca Raton.
Bridge signs bearing Richard’s name were erected near the overpass. His daughter said the family hopes the signs will serve as a reminder to motorists to drive more carefully.
.Richard was born in Anderson, Indiana on November 19, 1947, a son of the late Jason and Josephine Randolph. Richard is survived by his loving wife Judy and many loving extended family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Babione – Kraeer Funeral Home, 1100 North Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33432. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Funeral Home.
