He was born in Patrick County, Virginia to the late Foy & Ellie Boyd Hiatt.
In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by his siblings, Bob Hiatt, Mozelle Allen, Catherine Chappell.
Mr. Hiatt is survived by his wife, Rebecca Hiatt of Cana; son, Mike Hiatt
of Roanoke, VA; daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Richard Rudisill of Mt. Airy, NC; and grandson, Adam Rudisill of Mt. Airy, NC.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 3:00 PM at
the Willow Hill Moravian Church, Ararat, VA with Rev. Chuck Harmon, and the
Rev. Ray Fleming officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday, October 22, 2017
prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to
Joy Ranch Home for children, or a charity of your choice. Military rites
will be conducted by Hillsville V.F.W. Grover King Post 1115. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
