Mr. Burleson was born October 12th, 1928, Indianapolis, IN. He was a WWII and Korean War Veteran and lifetime member of the VFW.

The year 2017 was very fulfilling, being his last year with us. In April, he traveled to Washington, D.C. on the Honor Flight; In May he was honored at the 101st running of the Indy 500, along with other war veterans from 101st Airborne Division.

He also traveled to Kansas City, MO to watch his son compete on American Ninja Warrior.

He was preceded in death by his father Charles, mother Ruth, brothers James, Marion, Ed, and his sisters, Ruby, Ellen, and Juanita.

He is survived by his brothers Chuck, Ted, Bo, and his sisters Edna, Jennette and Sue. He is also survived by daughter Julie Patenall of Gold beach, OR and his son Richard D. Burleson of Greenwood, IN., 6 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
