Doris L. (Feint) Ryan, 84, of Sherburne, NY, and formerly of South Otselic, NY, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at her home. Doris was born in Taylor, NY, on June 1, 1934, a daughter of the late Hazel Graham Feint. A resident of South Otselic for most of her life, she had worked at the Otselic Valley Inn, Wilson’s of Cortland, and was the head cook at Camp Georgetown for 18 years. She was a life member of the South Otselic American Legion Auxiliary. Doris loved her home in Sherburne where she enjoyed having her grandchildren so close. She enjoyed watching the geese on the pond and back patio and was always doing puzzles and word searches. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by her children, Beverly (James) Smith of Plymouth, Dale (Patty) Ryan of Lebanon, Tina (Randy) Brown of Hamilton, and Brenda (Steve) Jordan of Sherburne. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Melissa (Bill) Henderson, Dennis (Barbie) Ryan, Nicole (Duane) Knapp, Todd (Jacki) Smith, Kyle (Sara) Ryan, Evan (Sara) Ryan, Shawn Monroe, Ryan Bergner, Billy Bergner, Casey Brown, and Cody Lawson; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Jean Cook of Pitcher and her son, Jeff, of Willet; and a brother, Garry Mallison of Binghamton. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by two sons, Rudy and Dennis Ryan; and a brother, Ward Feint. Funeral services will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. with Jeanne Angell officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, South Otselic, NY. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home, prior to the service, on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Doris may be directed to the South Otselic American Legion Auxiliary, 167 Valley View Road, S.
