Mr. James Andrew McCorkle, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. He was born to Bruce and Mary Lee McCorkle on August 4, 1935, in Concord, North Carolina.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Charlesetta McCorkle; his children, Andrew McCorkle, Lydia Edmondson-McCorkle, Nichole McCorkle-Thomas and Nicholas (Tiffany) McCorkle; his brother, George (Pearline) McCorkle; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
A retired United States Navy Veteran, his funeral service will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, Thursday, November 15, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. The Reverend Patricia McGeathey of Saint Stephen AME Church, officiating. Arrangements are in the trusted hands of Reginald R. McKinney, CFSP 6507 W. Beaver Street.
