Robert Guy DeLaMare, 88, of Salt Lake City, died Wednesday, March 31, 1976, in a Salt Lake Hospital following a short illness.
A native of Tooele, Mr. DeLaMare was born here July 15, 1887, to John C. and Agnes McKendrick DeLaMare. He married Rachel Wills June 10, 1914 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died October 18, 1918. His second wife, Mary Frances Wills, whom he married in the Salt Lake Temple November 12, 1919, died April 7, 1957. On June 18, 1958, he married Norah Evelyn Thompson in the Salt Lake Temple.
Mr. DeLaMare who was active in the LDS Church was a retired postal worker and a U.S. Navy veteran of the First World War.
Survivors include his wife; sons, daughters, Robert T., of Sacramento, Calif.; John C., Donlon P., Mrs. Lois C. (Gwen) McLane, all of Salt Lake City; Wendell F., Seattle, Wash.; Mary F. Pederson, Orem; 32 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and a brother Wilford M., Pocatello, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held at noon Friday in the LDS Second Ward Chapel, 704-500 East, Salt Lake City. Friends are invited to call at 36 East 700 South Thursday evening from 6 to 8:00 p.m. and at the ward chapel Friday one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
