Shirley was born May 8, 1945 in RJ, Kentucky to James Messer and Agnes Gamble Messer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Eva Marrie Asberry Willard, late sisters, Ollie Mae Foulk, and Cleada Perkins.
Shirley is survived by her Husband of 30 years, Walter M. Lyons, Son, Charles Brian (Susie) Asberry, step-son, Ronald (Gloria), step-daughter, Vianna Lyons, Sister, Lorraine (George Paul) Boles, Brother, Thurmon (Pennelope) Messer, Grandsons, Charles B. Asberry, Jr., and Joshua M. Asberry, Granddaughters, Amanda M. Willen, and McKayla Asberry, Great Grandson, Aiden Carter Smith.
Visitation 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, Friday, November 16, 2018 at Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, 241 Fairfield Ave., Bellevue, Kentucky.
Service will follow at 12:30 pm with Rev. Billy Price, officiating.
Burial will take place in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill, Kentucky.
