Kathy Armstrong, 65, of Amarillo died November 13, 2018.

Kathy was born November 30, 1952 in San Diego, CA to Lacy and Helena Powell. She married Tom Armstrong on October 16, 1969 and together they shared 49 years of marriage. She loved being in charge and was the oldest of her siblings.

Kathy worked for AISD for 22 years as the Lead Attendance Clerk, mostly at Tascosa High School. She was always willing to lend a helping hands and was a strong influence in raising her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren along with her own children. Kathy loved reading, cooking and the Holidays. She often watched The Cooking Chanel and HGTV. Kathy was a strong woman and was loved by so many.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and granddaughter, Abigail.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Tom Armstrong, Sr.; daughter, Erin Brandstatt and husband Bryan of Amarillo; sons, Thomas Armstrong, Jr. and wife Shana of Amarillo, Tim Armstrong and wife Michelle of Marietta, GA, and Chris Armstrong of Amarillo; sisters, Mary, Betty, and Stephanie; brothers, James and Edward; grandsons, Corey, Greg, Sy, Tayden, Aiden, Corbin, Hunter and Hudson; and granddaughters, Michela and Cara.

The family suggest memorials be made to Heritage Convalescent, 1009 Clyde St. Amarillo, Texas 79106.
