He was born August 22, 1941 in Ft. Smith to William Edward and Dorothy (Hadaway) Franklin.
Ralph served in the Air Force. He was a fantastic salesman and a great sales teacher. He enjoyed playing golf and traveling. Above all Ralph was devoted to his family and was a servant of the Lord and a member of the Church of Christ. He served as elder at both the Greenwood and South Hill Street Churches of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Nell O. (Gage) Franklin whom he married November 4, 1960 in Ft. Smith; three children, Lance Franklin and wife Patty of Farmington, Bryan Franklin and wife Michelle of Rogers, Tamara Walker and husband Rusty of Rogers; two brothers, Larry Franklin and wife Melissa of Van Buren, Jerry Franklin and wife Linda of Alma; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Ralph was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Franklin; and one great-grandson, Ryan Edward Franklin.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 15, at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at South Hill Church of Christ. Interment with military honors will be at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
