Judith Gertrude (Johnson) Griffin, 82, of Fairchilds, passed away on November 13, 2018 in Richmond, Texas. She was born on November 29, 1935 in Houston, Texas to Ernest and Gertrude Johnson. She worked for the City of Houston for 28 years, retiring in 2001. It was 2010 that she moved to Fairchild. This loving mother, grandmother, and friend will truly be missed.
In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Major Betty Jean Johnson, Elva Blachowiak and husband, Leonard, Helen Greene and husband, Jerry, and Vera Bechtel and husband, Don.
Survivors include her sons, Donald “Donnie” Griffin and wife, Peggy of Fairchilds, and Gary Griffin of Houston; grandchildren, Audrey Griffin, Joshua “Josh” Griffin and wife, Megan, and Amber Schmidt and husband, Taylor; great grandchildren, Stormi Gayle Schmidt, and Baby Theodore “Teddy” Griffin, due in April of 2019; along with other family and friends.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018, in the State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg followed by a graveside ceremony at 10:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Michael’s Catholic Church, P.O. Box 95, Needville, Texas 77461.
