Gail Hiers Hayes, 65, of Lenox, Georgia passed away on November 13, 2018 at her residence following a long illness. She was born March 20, 1953 in Lowndes County to the late James Dale Hiers and Virginia Goff Hiers Lokey. Mrs. Hayes lived most of her life in the West Berrien Community. She was a member of the Union Grove Church of God and was a retired Registered Nurse with Tift Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Hayes is survived by her husband, Terry Hayes; her son and daughter-in-law, Robbie and Melinda Rutland, all of Lenox; her daughter and son-in-law, Amanda H. and Lance Williams of Tifton, Georgia; two brothers and sisters-in-law; Wayne and Dianne Hiers, Tim and Michelle Hiers all of Lenox; one sister, Jan Hiers ofl Lenox; three grandchildren: Autumn Rutland and Austin Rutland of Lenox and Hayes Williams of Tifton; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Eva Nell Hayes and brother-in-law, Vernon Giddens, both of Adel, Georgia; also a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Hiers Giddens and her step-father, Jimmy Lokey.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home, Friday, November 16, 2018. Rev. Mike Bennett and Rev. Don Williams officiated. Interment was in the Pine Grove Cemetery. Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.; Adel, Georgia was in charge of arrangements.
