Jacob Omer Beeh passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on November 13, 2018, at University of Iowa Hospital.

Jake was born in Manchester, Iowa, on June 16, 1954, to Philip and Cora Nita Beeh.

On September 27, 1980, he was married to his wife of 38 years, Connie Marie (Bolsinger). Together they had three sons, Joshua (Jinna), Jason and Jared (Brandie). He also had two granddaughters who adored hi, Ari and Zoe.

Jake graduated from Central Community High School in 1972.

He enjoyed learning and fixing things. That helped him to be able to do a variety of work. He spent many years working hard on the farm. He was also an exceptional welder. But, he was most proud of his years as an EMT. He loved being able to help people in any way.

Jake loved nature and being outside. He was constantly watching the wildlife around their home. Between the animals and meticulously caring for the lawn and garden, he spent the majority of his days outside. He took great pride in it.

Jake was a man without equal. He touched the lives of everyone who knew him. Jake was kind and respectful to everyone, no matter what he was going through. He was always there to help, no matter the need. He would outwork anyone, despite being in pain. With all the challenges he faced, he never complained. To the very end, he did all he could to protect and take care of his family. Jake taught his wife what it means to be loved. Jake taught his sons to be men. Jake taught us all how to live our lives to the full, no matter the circumstances. It was an honor and a privilege to have known him.

Jake is survived by his wife; his sons and their wives; his granddaughters; his five brothers, John (Georgia), Chris (Connie), Alonzo (Gwen), Barry and Micah; as well as one sister, Carol. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends

Visitation: Friday, November 16, 2018, from 3 to 7 at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Elkader.
