Sandra "Sandi" Thelma Hansen, born on Sept. 11, 1954, in Seldovia, Alaska, to the late Lucille Hansen and the late Roy Hansen, passed away, at age 64, on Oct. 18, 2018, in Anchorage, Alaska.

Sandi was preceded in death by her sons, Baby Groothof and John R. Groothof; and sister, Patti Lu Bowdon.

She is survived by her brothers, Roy Hansen Jr., Dean Hansen and Todd Hansen; and sisters, Jacqulyn Hansen, Lois DeLuca, Rebecca Austermuhl and Julie Huntsman; and many nieces and nephews; and half-brother and sister, Roy Hansen and Ann Darrow. She also leaves behind one sister-in-law, Margaret Hansen and four brothers-in-law, Tom Bowdon, Peter DeLuca, Mark Huntsman and Jon Austermuhl, whom all adored her.

Some of Sandi's hobbies were home decorating and crafting. Something many people may not have known about Sandi is that she could be a little bit of a jokester; a trait which she got from her Dad. She was very much loved and will be missed.
