Algot John Lindgren was born in Sweden on Oct. 27, 1890, and passed away on April 27, 1955, in Hayes Township, Ida County, Iowa. Burial was in the Hayes Township Cemetery, Ida County, Iowa.

He married Ellen S. Lindgren. She was born 1895 and died 1958.

Arthur-- Algot John Lindgren was born on 27 October 1890 in Småland, Sweden. He came to the United States in the fall of 1909 and was married to Miss Minnie Lansink in 1914. She together with a son, Anthon, passed away in February 1920. A second son was born to this union namely Iver, now living in Alta.

In December of that same year he went back to Sweden and returned to this country in 1921. He later married Miss Ellen Anderson. To this union were born eight children: Virginia, Mrs. Charles McGee, of North Vancouver, B. C. Canada; aVerna, Mrs. Milo Devlin, of Tacoma, Washington, Paul of Arthur; Lois, Mrs. LuVerne Rydberg, Arthur; Betty, Chicago; Ruth, who died at the age of seven months. Richard of Pacoima, Calif, and Dennis, who is at home.

He attended Sunday school and was confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Sweden. In recent years he accepted the Lord as his Saviour and his christian life and service has been a blessing to the community and to the Arthur Ev. Free Church of which he was a member.

Surviving are his widow, eight children and twelve grand-children. Also surviving are his mother and six brothers in Sweden and one brother, Emil, of Hawarden, Iowa. Funeral services were conducted at the Evangelical Free Church in Arthur, Monday, May 2, with Rev. Wallace larson officiating. Music was furnished by a duet, "Beyond the Sunset", sung by Reuben and Wayne Lindskoog and a solo "God's Word and Promise" by Reuben Lindskoog with helen McGee Accompaning. Bearers were Frank Lindquist, Reuben Carlson, Floyd Lindberg, Eric Johnson,
