A native of McDowell County, Angie was born on December 21, 1969, to the late James and Connie Johnson Hughes.
Angie was a wonderful mother who provided for her family. She loved her family dearly especially her children and grandchildren. Angie was a member of the Sunny Grove Baptist Church. She was also an avid Harley Davidson fan who will be missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory are three children, Timmy Hughes (Sierra), Bradley Tipton (Kristin) and Shayla Cable (Darren); and four siblings, Phillip Hughes (Melissa), Kathy Dalton, Rebecca Ferguson (Nick) and Jamie Hughes (Angie); and half brother, Jeffrey Hughes; half sister, Kristy Hughes; stepsister, Betty Ann Robinson; and stepmother, Joyce Hughes Hatten. Also surviving Angie are her grandchildren, Hayden Williams, Landon Tipton, Brooke Hughes, Laurel Tipton and Paeslee Coffey; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at 3:00 p.m., at Beam Funeral Service, with Rev. Johnny Hall officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Interment at Green Knob Cemetery in Old Fort will take place following the service.
