Mrs G P French, an aged and respected woman of Tophet, Pipestem district, dropped dead at her home at that place this morning. Her death was due to heart disease. She was a consistent member of the Christian church, beloved by all those in the neighborhood.
No further particulars of the sad affair are obtainable today.Sarah was born 1840 in Northampton Co., Virginia to James and Betsy Burton. Sarah was the only daughter out of seven children. Her six brothers were, John, George, James, Luke, Henry, and Isaac.
Sarah had eight children. She had five by an unknown spouse and three by a spouse Jack Miller. She had four sons and four daughters. Listed in order of birth were; Adah, James, Edward, Marshall, Willimena, Tilia, John, and Bessia.
Sarah, a widow, died on April 16, 1882 in Accomack Co., Virginia where she resided. Sarah left to cherish her memory, her children, grandchildren, family and friends.
