Mrs. Teresa Whitman Roberts, 63, of Erwin, died Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Roberts was born May 23, 1955 in Harnett County to the late Wilbert and Aliene Webb Whitman. Mrs. Roberts was also preceded in death by her brothers, James and Danny Whitman, and a sister, Linda Faye Anderson.
Mrs. Roberts worked for over 20 years at Triton Quick Mart and was known and loved by many. She loved people, dancing, and especially loved her family. She was a wonderful wife and mother. Mrs. Roberts was a giving person, never knowing a stranger, and liked to make people laugh.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November, 13th at 2:00 p.m., at Skinner and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Erwin Memorial Park.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her husband of 28 years, John Roy Roberts Jr.; son, Jody Simmons of Dunn; daughters, Lori Royal and husband Jerry of Erwin, and Wendy Martinez of Fayetteville; sister, Barbara Messer of Raleigh; sister-in-law, Shirley Whitman of Smithfield; seven grandchildren, Emily, Trevor, and Jordan Simmons, Kayla, Yelena, and Avan Martinez, and Austin Royal; three great grandchildren, Camden, Avah, and Mason Simmons.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 12p.m. to 2 p.m., prior to the service at Skinner and Smith Funeral Home and other times at the home of Jerry and Lori Royal.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Fayetteville Manor for their exceptional loving care during Teresa's stay.
