Survived by his wife Shirley Naomi (nee Lankford) Reber of Glenpool, Oklahoma, a son, David Harold Reber, Jr. (Patricia) Enid, OK; a daughter, Bonnie Lynn Herd, Glenpool OK; three granddaughters, Angela Elkins, Owasso OK; Laura Reynolds,Tulsa OK; Cynthia Padgett, Coweta OK; and a grandson Jess Wesley Herd, Jr., Tulsa OK; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.
David was born in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Towson High School in Baltimore Maryland, he joined the Army National Guard. He married Shirley in 1954 and shortly began working for Citgo Petroleum. After 40 years with Citgo he retired to enjoy life on their farm in Mounds, Oklahoma with family and multipe animals before rejoining the work force with Sutherlands Lumber in 2004 until 2017. David was a member of the Mounds United Methodist Church, enjoyed gardening, following the weather, caring for multiple household pets and eating ice cream. He loved sports especially the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens, Tulsa Golden Hurricanes, Oklahoma Sooners Football and his grandson's ice hockey teams.
David was loved and will be greatly missed.
