Born in Hamblen County, TN, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Lily Riggs Courtney. Prior to her retirement, she was owner and operator of Quality Fabrics and Decorative Services. Mrs. Fields was a member of Greenville Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 59 years are daughter, Jackie Elizabeth Sanders; son, Joey E. Fields and his wife, Teresa; sister, Imogene Murphy; two brothers, Willie Joe and Burl Courtney; and three grandchildren, Ryan Scott Fields, Zachary Kael Sanders, and Courtney Brooke Fields.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fields was preceded in death by her sister, Margie Drinnon.
Entombment in Graceland East Memorial Park Mausoleum.
