Mr. Kenneth Rogers Johns Sr., age 63 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 at Winnfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Johns was a logger and native of Winnfield.
Mr. Johns is the son of the late James Earl Johns and the late Lucy Leona Cockerham Johns. He is also preceded in death by a brother Keith Earl Johns and the mother of his children Joy Ann Freeman Johns.
Survivors include his children, Lonnie Goodrow, Rodney, Goodrow, Tabitha Goodrow, Shantell Cooper, Kenneth R. Johns Jr., and Heather Lee Johns, eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and his brother James H. Johns. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, at the Old Union Baptist Church in Joyce with Reverend Lee Tilton officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
Friends may visit with the family in the church beginning at 5:00 p.m. Thursday until 9:00 p.m. and also on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
Pallbearers will be Jim Hudson, Heath Johns, Clint Atkins and Jerry L. Johns.
