David was born on March 10, 1969 in Albany, NY.
He was a graduate of Guilderland High School, Class of 1987, and afterwards, served honorably in the United States Navy during Desert Storm.
He was a devoted husband to Theresa Pennock Scott, whom he married in 1995, and an even more devoted father and mentor to his two sons, Sam E. Scott and Vinny W. Scott.
David was a hardworking field technician for 18 years at Verizon, and was a volunteer for several years for the Clifton Park/ Halfmoon Rescue squad as an EMT. David was also a volunteer member of the Jonesville Fire Department, always trying to humbly give his time to people other than himself.
He thoroughly enjoyed family time, spending a lot of his time cooking different food or maintaining a loud, cheerful presence in the room.
In addition to his wife and sons, David is survived by his proud parents, MaryJean and George “Scotty” Scott, of Voorheesville, NY; nephew of Joseph G. DiMura; cousin of Christopher DiMura; he also leaves behind his beloved brother-in-law, and sister-in-laws. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Sam and Virginia DiMura.
Interment with full military honors will be in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY.
