She was born on Tuesday, November 11, 1947, in Tell City, Indiana, the daughter of
Alfred Kenneth “Al” Bolin & Margaret “Margie” Lynn Ellis (Bolin) Smith.
Barbara was an avid reader, of the newspaper, of biographies, mysteries, she especially enjoyed fiction with Dean Koontz being her favorite author. She loved cooking, gardening, and her true love was pencil sketches and painting with oils.
She was very well know in her community for her oil paints and many brought pictures for her to paint onto cast iron skillets, old farm saws and such, for them to proudly display in their homes. She enjoyed her time watching the news, she sure would get fired up over the state of our politics on television.
She was a huge Trump supporter from the time he became a candidate and prayed he would be able to restore the world back to the times she called “simple” and “fair”. She was clever in her own writing, keeping journals thru out her life to leave behind for those who loved her.
She was also good with numbers and games, one of her favorites to pass time with was to play Words With Friends on Facebook with her children, friends and family members. Anytime you entered her home you could always expect a pot of coffee waiting for you when you entered.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Dean) Roose of Indianapolis, IN, Sherry Ann Ferge (Anthony Cole) of Greenfield, IN, Cindy (Clarence) Sturgill of Knightstown, IN; close friend, lovingly called our sister, Kaye (Mike) Hardin Owens from Burkesville, KY; life long sister, Libby Day; along with her spoiled pup (Shih Tzu), Bella Pearl; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and siblings, Kenneth (Debbie) Bolin of Anderson, IN, Bobby Bolin of Hardinsburg, KY, John (Robyn) Bolin of Oaklandon, IN.
