Harvey Potter 62 of Richmond passed away November 10, 2018 at Methodist Hospital. He was born December 28, 1955 in Berea, Kentucky to Mabel Spurlock and lived here all of his life where at the age of 16 his foster parents Bill and Sally West also became an important part of his life.

Over the years Harvey worked for several factories in the area; Primex Plastics, Neaton Auto and B&F Plastics.

Harvey enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, cars and antiques. His love for animals showed with all his pets he had over the years. But most of all he loved his family, especially his grandkids; he took an early retirement so that he could spend more time with them.

He is survived by his, his wife of 40 years Lorri Potter of Richmond, two daughters Emmi (Brian) Newton, Linsey Moore both of Richmond, four grandchildren Ethan, Lauren Newton, Nolan, Aubrey Moore and one grandson on the way; his mother Mabel Spurlock, sisters Debbie (Bryan)Lowden, Becky and Rhonda Minor, and brother Joe (Dulce) Potter. Extended family members include Walker West, Cathy West, Annie West, several nieces, nephews, his dog and best friend Pin Pin.

He is preceded in death by his foster parents and his maternal grandparents.

Services will be 10AM Friday November 16, 2018 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Chaplain J.B. Bennet officiating; burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
