George William Eshelman was born in Centerville, Washington, on August 11, 1885, succumbing to an illness of some duration on November 10th, 1914, aged twenty nine years, three months and nine days; leaving to mourn his departure besides his sorrowing wife and little daughter, his father and mother, one brother and two sisters; S.C. Eshelman and Mrs. Lottie Dooley, of Centerville and Mrs. Mertie Kelly, of Roosevelt.

Deceased was a member of the Christian church, having been baptized therein when a lad of fifteen years. His home has been spent in the Klickitat Valley, and his acquaintance and friendship is treasured by many throughout this district. He was married to Miss Ollie Green in Goldendale on September 29, 1914.

During of the weary month of his last illness, knowing and the end was inevitable, he carried his burden cheerfully, and his last days before confined to his bed, were spent working about the home place, trying to make the tasks of others lighter and brighter. His last hours were attended by everything that loving hearts and kind hands could administer, and as he peacefully passed into the unknown Great Beyond, the word "mother" was on his lips.

A loving one from us is taken,
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant in our home,
That never can be filled.
God in his wisdom has called,
The boon his love has given,
And though his body moulders here,
His soul is safe in heaven.

The funeral services were held from the Christian church at Centerville, Rev. R.E. Mackey officiating, burial following in the Centerville cemetery.
