Pfc. Victor M Fontanilla of Stockton, California was assigned to 725th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Richardson, Alaska. He was killed in Iskandariya, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near their vehicle. He enrolled part time at San Joaquin Delta College while working at a fast-food restaurant and later signed up for the Army to help support his growing family. Victor was due home in June for the birth of his second child. He is survived by his wife and children as well as his parents. He was 23.
