Thomas "Tom" Edward Brumley, 75, of Amarillo, died Friday, May 18, 2007.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Private burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
Mr. Brumley was born March 20, 1932, in Wilshire, Okla. to Thomas and Ada Belle Brumley. He worked in the agriculture business on farms. He was a devoted husband and father and he never met a stranger. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was a veteran in the United States Air Force serving in Korea.
Mr. Brumley was preceded in death by his son, Tom in 1988 and his wife Shirley in 1996.
Survivors include four daughters, Debra Brumley and Sherry Gray, both of Amarillo, Connie Triplett of Guthrie, Okla., and Mary Brumley of Abilene; six sons, Benjamin Brumley of Jennings, Okla., William Brumley, Jimmy Brumley, Kevin Brumley and Howard Brumley, all of Amarillo, and David Brumley of Phoenix, Ariz.; four sisters, Effie Dupree of Garden City, Kan., Trudie Dendy of Amarillo, Shirley Nelson of Sunray, and Lois O'Brien of Canada; 20 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
