Priscilla "Evelyn" Newman, 97, of North Huntingdon, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008. She was born June 23, 1911, in North Braddock, a daughter of the late John and Laura E. Dilfer Wilson. Mrs. Newman was a member of Miller United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women's Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph A. Newman; a brother, Harold Wilson; and a sister, Irene Corcoran. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Yarlett and her husband, Terrance, of North Huntingdon; stepson, William R. Newman and his wife, Nancy; two grandchildren, Brian Yarlett and his wife, Lori, and Amy Funk and her husband, Grant; five stepgrandchildren; a great-grandchild, Tyler; and several stepgreat-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME INC., Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Thomas St. Clair officiating. Interment in Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park.
