RESEDA, CALIFORNIA - Dr. George T. Smith, 94, for 55 years a practicing dentist in the Utah-Idaho area, died Saturday at his residence here of causes incident to age.
He started his dental practice in Montpelier, Idaho, served there for 25 years before moving to Salt Lake City, where he had offices in the Boston and Medical Arts Buildings and practiced for 30 years. He retired at the age of 84 and moved to Reseda.
Born July 10, 1864 in Salt Lake City, he is a son of Job and Jane Fowles Smith. He married Harriet Winter. She died in 1942. He then married Ellen Hyden in 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. W.I. (Verona) Chugg, Salt Lake City; a son, Dr. Ashley Smith, Salt Lake City; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
