Fred H. Roberts Jr. died Sunday, November 11th at the age of 91 years young, with his daughter and her family at his side. He was preceded in death by Geraldine J. “Geri” Roberts, his loving wife of 59 years, 2 months & 12 days, his parents Fred H. Roberts Sr. & Violet L. Roberts, and his brother Richard Roberts. Fred was born August 19, 1927 in Fairbury, Nebraska. He was a veteran of the US Navy, having served in the Pacific during WWII. He married the love of his life on November 21, a948 and had a wonderful life together in which they traveled the country with friends & pets in their motor home. They enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and dancing together. He retired from Wendelin Baking Company and Metz Baking Company after 38 years of service, finishing as route supervisor. He was a strong supporter of Safe Boating on waters in the USA working hard in the Coast Guard Auxiliary, attaining rank of Division Captain and with the hard work of the members and his wife, had one the best Flotilla’s in the Midwest. He is survived by his son, Gerald Alan (Terry) Roberts, West Liberty, Texas, devoted daughter, Connie Jo (Brian J.) Caudill, Crete, NE. Three wonderful grandchildren, Brandon (Shannon) Boyer of Hickman, NE, Tera Jo (Christopher) Warren of Kansas City, MO, Eric Roberts of Olathe, KS. Three great grandchildren, Kimber J. Boyer, Alana J. Warren and Adrian Warren. Also his favorite daughter-in-law Kathy Utley of Olathe, KS, three nephews and a very special friend and help mate, Mary Ann Gesiriech.
