A visitation for Daniel Fowler, 78, of Giddings, Texas is planned for Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
In keeping with Daniel's wishes funeral services will be private.
Daniel Kenneth Fowler was born on December 15, 1939 in Hinsdale, Illinois one of nine children born to Kenneth and Grace (Newman) Fowler. Daniel married Mary Nell Horvath on November 26, 1975 in Chicago, Illinois.
He worked as a truck driver for 20 years before going to work at Compaq in Houston. He retired from Compaq after working there for 20 years. Daniel enjoyed bowling and woodworking and made numerous bird houses throughout the years.
Daniel passed away the evening of Sunday, November 11, 2018 at St. Mark's Medical Center in La Grange.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and all of his eight brothers and sisters.
Daniel is survived by his children, Nancy and John Bickness of Chicago Ridge, Illinois, Kathleen and Anthony Ciccone of Houston, Robert Fowler of Reno, Nevada, Mark and Nancy Fowler of Fort Worth and Terry and DeShay Fowler of Jefferson, Georgia; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; as well a several nieces and nephews.
The Fowler family suggests making memorials to the Greater Houston German Shepherd Dog Rescue, P. O. Box 610150, Houston, TX 772018-0150.
