Jimmy Bryant, 71, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, April 29, 2018, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Brushy Creek Cemetery, in Irwin County, Georgia, with the Rev. John Gibbs, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the graveside.
Mr. Bryant was born August 12, 1946, in Irwin County, Georgia, to Grace Griffin Bryant and the late Buford Bryant. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy, serving on the USS Iwo Jima during the Vietnam War. He lived in the community over 30 years and worked as a mechanic for Irwin County Motors. Mr. Bryant enjoyed watching tv and riding his lawnmower all over town. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister Sis Prescott & Jerry of Fitzgerald; a nephew, Jeremy Prescott of Fitzgerald; a niece, Amy Prescott of Fitzgerald; and two uncles: Randy Griffin of Longwood, Florida and Jack Griffin of California.
