David was born on December 19, 1953 in Fondulac, Wi. to George J. Jedlicka and Dorothy (Minton) Jedlicka. In 1972 he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and in 1974 was assigned to the King Salmon Air Base. After receiving his honorable discharge in 1982, David worked for Crowley Maritime, Wien Air Alaska, State of Alaska DOT, and the Bristol Bay Borough as a heavy equipment operator until retiring in 2010.
