JEROME — James Bert McNurlin, 74, of Jerome, died Monday, Sept. 25, 1989, at his home of cancer.
He was born April 28, 1915, in Pollock, Mo., the son of Vearle L. and Flossie Jane Seabee McNurlin. He married Maxine Parsons on Jan. 1 , 1938, in Pollock, Mo., and they moved to the Magic Valley in 1950. He farmed in the Magic Valley area until 73, when he retired.
Mr. McNurlin was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Pollock, Mo., and in Hollister and was a lifetime member of the West Magic Lake Recreation Club.
Surviving are his wife of Jerome; two sons, Ross and Dean McNurlin, both of Twin Falls; two daughters, Catherine Colvin of Jerome, and Karen Nowell of Searchlight, Nev.; one brother, Glen McNurlin of Brookfield, Mo.; three half-brothers, James L. McNurlin of Kansas City, Mo., Mike McNurlin of Bremerton, Wash., and Bill McNurlin; two sisters, Jo Ellen Alvarez of St. Joseph, Mo., and Virginia Jimerson of Unionville, Mo.; 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters, one step-brother, two sons and two granddaughters.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at White Mortuary in Twin Falls with Pastor Jim Evans officiating. Interment will follow at the Buhl Cemetery. Friends may call at White Mortuary from 4-8 p.m. today.
