Myra Jean Adams Jones, 77 – Myra Jean Adams Jones was known as a great cook and worked primarily in restaurants in and around Guntersville. Mrs. Jones died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at the age of 77.

She was the daughter of Lee Adams and Jessie Rainwater Bolding. Myra Adams attended Marshall County High School. On March 4, 1967, she married James Earl Jones. He died in 1993. Mrs. Jones loved being with family and attending her grandchildren’s athletic events. She was a huge Alabama football fan.

She is survived by 2 sons, James Lee Jones (Nancy) of Guntersville and Jeff Jones (Roseanne) of Guntersville; a daughter, Renae Farmer (Vann) of Alder Springs; a sister, Ruby King of Guntersville; 10 grandchildren, Misty Bolding, Tevis Bolding, Nathan Bolding, Jason Dickson, Jennifer Caldwell, Anna Farmer, Sierra Farmer, Paxton Jones, Connor Jones and Emily Jones; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by a son, Tevis Bolding; a daughter, Carmen Suzette Kirby; a brother, Robert Adams; and a sister, Brenda Hill.

The funeral was Saturday at Carr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carey Sims officiating. Mrs. Jones was buried in Panquin Cemetery at Grant. Pallbearers were Connor Jones, Josh Vanzandt, Jason Dickson, Billy Wayne Smith, Anthony Smith, Luke Kennedy, Vann Farmer and Terry Corum.
