Beverly A. Burks, 83, of Tiffin, died at 6:45pm on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.

Born October 22, 1935 in Carey, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Mildred (Pahl) Hunter. She married Carl D. Burks on September 7, 1952 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carey. He survives in Tiffin.

Surviving are five children: Dave (Mary) Burks of Woodstock, GA, Jim (Patricia) Burks and Tom (Lisa) Burks both of Cumming, GA, and Lisa (Mike) Yoder and Lynn (Dan) Miller both of Tiffin, 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, a great great grandson, and a brother, Richard Hunter of Roswell, GA.

Preceding her in death was a granddaughter, Stacy Yoder, two brothers: Bill and Bob Hunter, and two sisters: Phyllis Frederick and JoLynn Benjamin.

Bev was a homemaker and owned a cleaning service in Tiffin for many years. She was a member of Family of Faith Lutheran Church in Tiffin.

Bev loved her family and treasured the time spent helping her grandchildren with their various 4-H projects. She also loved playing games with her family and friends. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking and baking in her spare time. She liked watching sports on TV, especially the Cleveland Indians.

Friends will be received from 5-8pm on Monday, November 12, 2018 at STOMBAUGH-BATTON FUNERAL HOME in Carey.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the funeral home, with Pastor Phil Moredyke officating. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Spring Grove Cemetery in Carey.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Family of Faith Lutheran Church or Autumnwood Care Center Freedom Unit and sent to Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay St. Carey, OH 43316.
