Sherry Rice, aged 47, from Mishawaka, Indiana, lost a long, tough battle to cancer at 11:30pm November 7th 2018. Sherry was born Sharon Rice on January 29th 1971 to David and Roxie (Bieck) Rice.
Sherry spent most of her life caring for children including her nieces and nephews. She taught them so many wonderful things about the world. She always cared about others more than herself. She was a cherished listener and she loved life. Sherry was engaged to Jeff Searer. They were soulmates and were together as long as anyone can remember. She loved soap operas and family get togethers.
Sherry is survived by her mother Roxie (Jr.), her sisters, Ginger (Dennis) and Tammy, her brothers, Billy (Jackie) and Michael (Traci), and her nieces and nephews: Shane, Jessica, Sam, Jordan, Ronnie, Kaitlyn, Colton, Ariana, Logan, and Ava. She is survived by her fiancé Jeff Searer and his sister Debbie.
A private service for family will be taking place on Friday November 9th. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hahn’s funeral home.
