Steve Lopez Martinez of Anton passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018 at the age of 58. Memorial Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018 at St. Anthony of Padua in Anton with inurnment to follow at the Anton Cemetery. He was born March 18, 1960 to Leonardo and Adela (Lopez) Martinez. Steve grew up in Anton and worked as a roofer. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Steve was a member of St. Anthony of Padua in Anton. Survivers include his children, Rene Martinez of Lubbock, Becky (Shayne) Hodges, Teresa Elizondo (Carlos), and Chico Martinez, all of Anton; siblings, Louis Martinez (Janice) of Wolfforth, Johnny Martinez of Ft. Worth, Tony Martinez (Isabel) of Georgetown, Rose Thomas of Littlefield, Judy Davis of Anton, Leon Martinez, and Monique Jones (Mark) of Lubbock; 13 grandchildren; and one greatgrandson. He is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Mario in 2001
