Bobby L. "Bob" Mason, 85, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018 at his home in Brownwood. Bob was born November 30, 1932 in Post, Texas to Thomas Robert (Bud) and Tinnie Lewis Mason. Bob grew up attending Graham Chapel Church with his family and was Methodist. He served in the 3rd Infantry Division, US Army, from 1955-1957.

He retired in 1992 from Permian Corporation after 34 years in the Pipeline and Trucking Department. Bob was a very hard worker and actually loved to work. He and Tonya built their place at the lake after years of retreating there on weekends in between all the West Texas miles they traveled.

He3was survived by his wife, three daughters, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brother and best friend Jake Mason; sister Brenda Mason; and many nieces and nephews who loved Uncle Bob. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gene Mason; sisters Dorothy Lester, Frances Josey and Pat Kelley; grandsons Bobby Alexander Mason Miller and Cody Dodson.

Bob loved his family, friends, all kids and animals. He was kind-hearted and would do anything for anyone, anytime - day or night. His passing has left a huge void in the lives of those who loved him.

Funeral November 11, 2018, at the Heartland Funeral Chapel. Burial is at Miles Cemetery, near his grandson, Bud.
