Ms. Vivian Ann Allen Benson, better known as “Bebe,” 84, passed away Wednesday November 7, 2018 at her home. She was born in Summitville, Tennessee on June 10, 1934 to Maude Louise Allen and Everett Riston Allen who preceded her in death along with two sisters, Wanda Bailey and Patsy Harmon, and one brother, Donnie Allen.

Surviving siblings are brothers, Bobby Allen, Gary Allen, Tommy Allen, John Allen and sisters, Gloria Brown and Malinda Taylor.

Ms. Benson retired from Carrier Air Conditioning where she worked as a wireman for 27 years and was a member of Red Hill Church of Christ. Ms. Benson was known for her county-famous fried pies and her love of Christmas. In fact, she kept Christmas decorations up in her home throughout the year. She also was an avid shopper, decorator and foodie. She loved anything “odd” and whimsical and never met a stranger but above all loved her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol Rains of Manchester, TN, Teresa (Mike) Friedrich of Riverview, FL and Melissa Benson of Murfreesboro, TN; sons, Jeffrey (Dawn) Benson and Troy Benson of Elberton, GA; grandchildren Chasity (John) Nicoll, Ambrea Fuller, Blair Friedrich, Lauren Benson and JJ Benson and one great-grandchild Audie Nicoll as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will Sunday at 2:00pm in the Central Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ralph Hart officiating. No burial will be following. Visitation will be from 5:00pm-8:00pm Saturday at Central Funeral Home, Manchester, Tennessee.
