Mr. Donald Waters, age 51, passed into eternal rest on November 9, 2018, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Donald was a native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County. He was a graduate of Bible Baptist Christian School. Donald later began his career with Lewis Printing Company, now Lewis Color Inc., as a pressman and was currently employed with them at time of his death.
Donald was known for his dedication to his family and friends. Additionally Donald loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the Rocky Ford Hunting Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Waters and Jackie Smith Waters, his maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.
Surviving are his wife Lucy Lewis of Bulloch County; a son and daughter-in-law, D.J. and Kim Lewis of Portal; three grandchildren, Ethan, Braydon and Landin of Portal; a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Herchel Price of Statesboro; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Billy Joe and Linda Waters of Statesboro and David Waters ( Casey Carter) of Statesboro. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday from 1:00pm until the funeral service hour at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.
Funeral services will be at 2:00pm in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. Lynward Campbell officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his nephews, D.J. Lewis, Jeremy Miller, Jason Miller, William Wilkerson, Ricky Wise, Ricky Phillips, members of the RockyFord Hunting Club and his co-workers of Lewis Color Inc.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 515 Denmark Street, Ste. 500, Statesboro, Ga. 30458.
