In a horrific twist of fate, Brock Hayden Pulock was seriously injured in a car accident on Sunday, March 28, 2010. Although he was given the best of treatment and care in the hours that followed, he succumbed to his injuries on Monday, March 29, 2010 at Children's Hospital in Winnipeg, leaving a family and a community suspended in grief. He was thirteen years old – adored son and brother, beloved grandson, nephew, and cousin, conscientious Grade 7 student at Grandview School K-12, captain of the Grand Plains Hawks Pee Wee hockey team, staunch supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays, loyal friend.
Brock is survived by a family who could not have loved him more and who will miss him so very much – his parents David and Tannis, brothers Derrick (Kelsey Kristjanson) and Ryan, grandparents Dewar and Jeanne Wilson and Ed and Elsie Pulock, great baba Teenie Showdra of Dauphin, aunts and uncles Bonnie and Myles Hubbard, Tori and Paige (Brandon), Roxanne and David Kallusky, Brooklyn and Kenzie, and Scott and Jen Wilson, Kennedie, Jordyn, Hailey and Breanna (Lacombe AB), and "big sisters" Lindsey and Ashley Lynch. Brock will also be missed by his extended family, many friends, classmates, teammates, teachers, coaches, as well as members of the sports communities in which he traveled. (www.sneathstrilchuk.com)
