Laura Caroline Henry, daughter of the late John Wesley and Nora Mae Redburn Highfill, was born Jan. 27, 1919 at Rover, MO. She passed away Nov. 17, 2004. She was united in marriage to Thurman Jackson Henry Aug. 24, 1942 at West Plains, MO.
Educated at Elk Creek community, Mrs. Henry was a homemaker and formerly an employee of International Shoe Company for 36 years.
She is survived by a sister, Reba Hurst of West Plains, MO; sisters-in-law Edith Duncan of Jerome, ID; Joanne Henry of Fredericktown, MO; Hazel Henry and Ida Mae Henry Romans of West Plains, MO; numerous nieces and nephews, including Wesley and wife Frances Ledbetter of Mountain View, MO and Vivian and husband Guy Mitchell of West Plains, MO.
Laura was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, Bessie King and Clarissa (sic) Hays, and one brother, James 'Jeff' Highfill.
Mrs. Henry attended Elk Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Smith Chapel and Bennett Chapel.
Funeral services were held Nov. 21, 2004 at the Rose Chapel Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, Rev. E. W. Dan Duncan officiating. Burial followed at Howell Memorial Park, West Plains, MO.
