Beverly Jean (Riggs) Henry, age 87, of Chrisman, IL went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Paris Community Hospital.
Beverly was born November 15, 1929 in Garland, IL to Cecil and Oma (Hewitt) Riggs. She was previously employed as a bookkeeper at S.W. Yontz & Sons, and was a member of the Metcalf Christian Church and the Pleasant Meadows Volunteer Auxiliary. Beverly enjoyed shopping for her grandkids, playing games, especially solitaire, and socializing with her neighbors.
She is survived by two children: Thomas (Sherrie) R. Henry of Palm Coast, FL and Victor L. Henry of Chrisman, IL; a brother: Leon Riggs of Richmond, VA; a granddaughter: Tiffany Rae Henry of Martin, TN; a great-granddaughter: Caisey Jayne DeOrnellas; and two step great-grandchildren: Isabella Pitts and Nya Flanders. She was preceded in death by a grandson: Scott Eric Henry.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the visitation, beginning at noon. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Edgar County DO IT Cancer Support Group.
