Mike "Snake" Adamson, age 63, of West, passed away early Wednesday afternoon, November 7, 2018 at his residence.

A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in West.

Mike was born November 1, 1955 in West, the son of Meredith "Red" and Agnes (Sulak) Adamson. He attended St. Mary's School and was a 1974 graduate of West High School. On July 11, 1993 he was united in marriage to Sarah Poehls in Corpus Christi. Mike was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. He was also a very active member of the ACTS Fellowship and went on many retreats, serving on team and as a retreatant. He was a past president and business manager of IBEW Local #72 in Waco and a member of the Heart of Texas Snake Handlers. He worked for Hensel and Matus Electric Companies for many years after getting his start as an electrician from his Father. Mike enjoyed camping, playing dominos, going to the ocean, riding motorcycles and being a "Fisher of Men". He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and visiting with his many friends.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Matthew Lanni Adamson.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 25 years, Sarah Adamson of West; children, Jennifer Tucker and husband Jason of Mt. Calm, Amanda Bosher and husband Sonny of Corsiciana, Tanner Adamson of Terlingua, and Marissa Adamson of West; a sister, Margaret King and husband David; brothers, Mark Adamson and wife Angela, Miles "PeeWee" Adamson and wife Sonya, Monte Adamson and wife Rhonda, Melvin "Inky" Adamson and wife Anissa; grandchildren, Blake, Rylee Jo and Presley Tucker and Luke and Brynn Bosher; his beloved dog, Shelby; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers are E.J. Holecek, Mike "Snakeman" Herzogg, Jason Tucker, Jason Dudik, Josh Adamson, Josh Mynar, John Sidener and Derek Hurtt. Honorary pallbearers are Wilson Jones, Blake Tucker, and Cory Adamson.
