Johnnie Mason Black, 81, went home to join her departed loved ones November 7, 2018. She was born in Dallas, Texas October 26, 1937. Mason was a hairstylist and a Mary Kay consultant but is best remembered as a stay at home wife, mother and a devoted christian. She loved reading, writing, painting, sewing and was always looking for her next art project. She enjoyed hiking and loved riding motorcycles. Mason loved everything western and had recently moved the Cowboy Capital, Bandera, Texas. She was preceded in death by by her parents Mozell and Weldon Bush and Helen and Johnny de Cordova, brother Lewis Henry de Cordova, and husband RQ Black. She is survived by daughters; Monique Tucker and her husband Lawrence of Bandera, Texas and Michelle Carey and her husband Glenn of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren: Ross Taylor and wife Katy of Bandera, Texas; great grandchildren: Morgan and Gavin Taylor, and leaves behind numerous friends and love ones. In Lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the Ministries of Bill and Eva Dooley, who have been our special friends in Christ. http://www.billandevadooley.com Graveside services will be held on November 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Atwell Cemetery, Putnam, in Callahan County, Texas.
