Barney Acker
Funeral services for Barney Acker, 3010 Vinewood Ave., will be held at W.F. Hackett & Son's Chapekl, 5616 W. Vernor H ighway, at 2 p.m., Tuesday, with burial in Woodmere Cemetery.
An illness of five days resulted in Mr. Acker's death at his home Saturday. Born in Monroe, M ich., 67 years ago, he had lived here for 50 years. He was with the Michigan Central Railroad for 42 years, retiring two years ago. He was a member of Riverside Lodge of the Odd Fellows and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Rose Miller of Jackson, and Mrs. O.J. Coover, of Glendale, Calif.
